Spring Bear Hunt

May 16 - June 26

$1895 per person, plus hunting license costs

Packages include:

• Active Bait Site
• Care of Game (i.e. Skinning, quartering, freezing, etc.)

A $700.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book the hunt with an additional $450.00 due prior to April 1st of the hunting season. Balance is due upon arrival. You will have to provide your own hunting gear for this hunt.


Spring 2010 was our 5th hunting season. This hunt is just getting bigger and better! Our bait sites have been in use for 5 years now making them well established sites. This is an important fact to having more than one bear at a site. We had a hunter one year spot 7 different bears during the evening hours. That same evening he got his bear, making that bear the second animal he ever killed.


2009 Spring Season, started out great and ended great. 25 hunters shot 21 bears while seeing a total of 68 bears. Due to a slow economy, we had fewer hunters than normal. If we had more hunters, we would have seen a record harvest with the total bears seen over 100.


During the 2007 spring season, we had 38 hunters bag 33 bears. Total bears spotted were 101. No one went home without seeing a bear, with several returning hunters taking bear again.


Tomah Mountain Outfitters has been very successful since the very beginning starting in the spring of 2006. We took several big bears: 438 lbs, 416 lbs, and 360 lbs.


As previously mentioned on my home page, I'm not raising any of the prices for the hunts. I simply want hunters to have an opportunity to afford a great hunt. I'm looking for 2011 to be another great hunting season.


We have four different hunting areas, so we will have different hunting areas each week. We will stay in the same cabins that we use in the fall. There is very good fishing during this time of the year. This hunt is a six-day hunt. It begins May 16 and runs till June 26. We furnish active bait sites to hunt over, transportation to your bait site, retrieval of your bear, and care of the game. We also furnish a nice, neat cabin as well as all your meals during your week of hunting.
